The folks at
Cemusa need a lesson in our beloved city streets. Their inaccurately-labeled bus shelters are angering denizens left and right. First they mistakenly referred to the Bowery as a "street" [
link], and then casually disregarded the last "s" in Frederick Douglass [
link]. It's enough already.
In a further sign of disrespect, the Spanish-based advertising company also mis-spelled
DELANCEY at the Bowery & Delancey bus stop. Yes, there are two E's in Delancey. My question is, weren't there any copy editors on hand?

I walk by this corner daily, and somehow just noticed the error earlier this morning. Weird.

Incredible. A pure representation of their lack of respect for the community. A Holes.
C'mon, seriously?... can't these guys get anything right?
Deelancee is one of my favorite streets.
amazing. it's like a slap in the face when they can't even be bothered to proofread the city's street names.
really, how hard can it be? look at a friggin map and see the proper spelling! i bet there are many more of these mistakes throughout the city.
