LES Rewind

Flash back to the corner of Pitt and Delancey in 1997. It’s a simple street scene ripe with nostalgia. It’s crazy how much changes in a short twelve-year period!

the last shot of the lot that was vacant and filled with trash was bought a few years ago by some young dude. If you look in he uses it as his personal parking lot and has a mac daddy garden in the back of the lot that is comboined with the garden of the building next door. Its a double wide.

most of the buildings on the west side of the street have been rennovated and gentrified.

Also expect this block to be redeveloped as soon as the economy picks up. Due to the EV/LES rezoning every property on the west side of the block was upzoned. You can now build 15 story buildings there with all sorts of developer incentives.

Yeah, wait, is this a joke? What's changed at that corner? The police cars are different.. that's it. I was there 2 days ago, it looks exactly the same.
