After months of clearance sales and a period of dormancy, the plywood and scaffolding is in place at the former location of
Magic Shoes on Bleecker Street. Demolition of the century-old building (est. 1861) has officially begun.

Local preservationists are still irate, considering the property falls within the
proposed South Village Historic District. And, according to
Curbed, a new eight-story building will rise in its place.
Pizza Box, please don't go! Oh, how I love your pizza.

this won't affect Pizza Box next door will it? Don't think so. Eight stories. That means more buildings will follow. Just as with the Trump evil on Varrick, it has spawned similar monstrosities within a two block radius.
i don't think so. but it can't be good for business.
