Sewer OK?

Along West Houston, numerous sewer grates are tagged with an ambiguous “OK.” Is it street-top graffiti or a workman’s seal of approval? My money is on the latter, even though it’s troubling to wonder why so many covers don’t have the marking. I pray the infrastructure below the street is indeed okay. Fingers crossed.
