Developing Story: 334 Bowery

334 Bowery Tattoo

Over the weekend, an anonymous tipster wrote in to inform us of the current situation at 334 Bowery. Apparently, V Bar is looking to occupy the former tattoo parlor, and the tenants in the building are nonplussed to say the least. And not without cause. That stretch of real estate between Houston and East Fourth Street is already populated by a half-dozen bars.

Stop by the community board meeting on March 19th to show your support, and speak out against increased nightlife in the neighborhood.

More information as the story develops, so check back for updates.

If it has to be a bar, at least it's Vbar & Cafe. They do a great job on Sullivan of being good neighbors, having some good daytime coffee & food, and keeping it low-key and quiet during the evenings.

Also, if they go the way of their original space, they'll only have a beer & wine license, which will keep the rowdiness down.
