This L Magazine box on Orchard Street doubles as a handy parking cone to alert northbound motorists of the terrible sinkhole. Fixing the hole (cue The Beatles) would be the logical next step.

Ha, nice.

I was walking down W 26th one day when I saw fire shooting out of a pothole in the middle of the street. Right on cue, the FDNY arrived and, with engine idling, one firefighter got out of the truck, walked over to the corner trash can, stuffed it into the hole, and they drove away. Ta da!
