For many months, the Provincetown Playhouse on MacDougal Street lay inactive behind a shroud of dark netting and scaffolding. It seemed as though its imminent demolition, albeit partial, would be delayed. Not the case, though. The wrecking ball has officially hit.
Between the Playhouse and the former Catholic Center, NYU is really steamrolling Greenwich Village. Seriously, what's next?
