Sneakers on Delancey

The north side of Delancey between Orchard and the Williamsburg Bridge is somewhat of a haven for shoes and cheap threads. There’s Rainbow, Richie’s, Fabco Shoes, and Jimmy Jazz, just to name a few. As of this past week, though, there is a newcomer on the block. Located near the corner of Clinton Street, and adjacent to the future Chang hotel site, Get Set is a modest new sneaker spot carrying predominantly Nike styles.

If you decide to head over there, try not to trip over the ginormous sidewalk-hogging Cemusa newsstand out front.

Nice to see a new biz going into that block that actually fits. Bought my first pair of Nike Air Flights there back in 1990. They still cost me a c-note back then.
