Vacant Newsstand Makeover

The vacant newsstand near the corner of Thompson and West Third Streets recently received a fresh makeover. Instead of the traditional green with requisite graffiti, the whole facade is now painted brown. And while the original awning still hangs, gone is the urgent plea which once proclaimed, “Save our newsstand, save our community.” Needless to say, that slogan still rings true.
