Its was HDP doing the much needed clean up. They are above such pettiness as permits, stop works and or even asbestos concerns.

Everyone at 87-89 Attorney St and all of PS 136 cheered them on everyday until they were done.

If he knew anything about life on Attonrey Street, he would have been happy about this. We have made 100's of calls to 311, we have went to community board meeting… AND after an 11 year battle through red tape… it is finally getting cleaned up.

Second this lot in question was a blight. Imagine a 100X50 lot that had garbage piled 3 stories high covering 33% of the lot. Huge rats and homless people living there. The lot was (and may still be) a DUMP for the neighborhood.

This kids building was shaking? HAHA. I'd be happy getting woken up at 5am for the next two years by a construction crew.
Anything is better than what was there.

Here is som inside info… the owners of 91 Attoreny are not the ones doing them demo. In fact that old lady who owns is trying every day to stop it.

I am sure I speak for 99.9% of the people that live near this lot and or to the parents who drop their kids off at school across the street…
THE CITY CLEANING THIS LOT UP IS A GOOD THING. There will be no new delvoplemnt here for years.
