Demolition in the Greenwich Village environs is continuing at a clip. As of yesterday afternoon, the Provincetown Playhouse is naught but a frail skeleton. In its place is an excavation site complete with plenty of jackhammers, ladders, and scaffolding.


To see open space like this between buildings, even if only temporarily, is always shocking.
