Sam Chang and Delancey Demolition
Last August, we reported that hotel guru Sam Chang purchased 148-154 Delancey for a slender $15.75 million. In that time, plans of a new six-story Holiday Inn were revealed, but the old low-rise vacants remained nonetheless. As did the annoying sidewalk sheds and scaffolding.
Until now. Armed with fresh DOB permits, the demolition crews are currently out in full force. The first building to catch the wrecking ball was the corner lot at Suffolk Street. Let the games begin!
