Shop, Gated

After nigh on a year at 94 Orchard Street, the aptly named women’s boutique, Shop, is finished. Despite the deep spring clearance sales all weekend, the store abruptly shuttered after business hours on Sunday night. There were no outward signs or warnings of its impending doom. Needless to say, it was a somber scene, with three employees moving out the furniture and packing up the remaining garments.

Looking at the Lack of Substantial Progress at Pier 35 [PHOTOS]

2015 saw the deliverance of a mostly-complete East River Esplanade at Rutgers Slip. Exercise equipment, basketball courts, and bocce sandboxes were all unveiled a year ago.
