2 Allen Street to be Demolished

The wrecking ball is returning to the eastern reaches of Chinatown. Over the weekend, we noticed that the entire corner plot of 2 Allen Street (aka 118-124 Division Street/1-3 Orchard Street) was surrounded by fresh plywood. DOB permits were nowhere in site, so we did some investigation and discovered that the four-story building will soon be demolished. This will undoubtedly leave a substantial footprint for some snazzy new development.

Local businesses that occupied this real estate in the immediate past included Good World Bar & Grill, Xin Tai Wireless, and No. 2 Hair Salon.
