Grand Street Bust

Since our last progress report, there has been little visible advancement in construction at 324-326 Grand Street.  You may recall that much of the quaint row of low-rise retail was demolished last year to make way for eighteen stories (thirty-six units) of luxury living.  In the interim, a new foundation was quickly poured, but then the site went silent.  Peeking through the cracked plywood shows the concrete in a state of disrepair.  Meanwhile, the neighboring 328 Grand Street, rumored to be a seven-story boutique hotel, seems to be on the open market.

It’s boom-to-bust in this neck of the woods, for sure.
