205 Club Still Closed

Since first reporting on the closing of 205 Club two weeks ago, it appears as though the vacation announcement was a ruse.  New clues seem to prove the night spot has flatlined – gates remain drawn during peak drinking hours, sidewalk ATMs are gone, and most telling, the phone number is disconnected.

And then there’s this recent sign which indicates 205 was to host a launch party for Project EVIE this past Saturday.  Well that didn’t happen, thanks to “unforeseen circumstances.”  The gathering was relocated to Belmont Lounge in Union Square.
