Annex Replaced by Doghouse Saloon at 152 Orchard

Doghouse Saloon

Once upon a time The Annex was a loud party joint which showcased tons of live music.  Lines would queue outside until all hours of the night.  Now the joint is history. Indeed, 152 Orchard Street has been quietly rechristened Doghouse Saloon (seriously?).  Proclaiming themselves “drinking consultants,” this new frat-hole replacement allegedly has ten TVs, free hot dogs until 4 am, and holds regular beer pong tournaments.  And of course, lest we forget, the monthly “Bikini Beach Party.” Translation: still plenty of late night shenanigans to anger the neighbors.

it's so brightly lite in here its nuts. the place is huge and painted red and black you feel like the walls are yelling at you. everything is sports themed but sort of cheap even as far as sports stuff goes. they claim ten tv's but only have four, two of which you cant see from the bar. there are so many gimmicks in this place. every wall is covered in false claims like theme nights and shot wheels. but yet the place is empty all week and barely full on weekends.

ya this place sucks, i tried. but its really not a cozy space when not a venue. the beer prices have been going up since they opened. i killed a roach on the bar which is cute in mars bar and nowhere else. the owner bought me a fruity dog shot bc well there was noone in there on like a Thursday. after taking it the bartender advised me to go through up bc that fruity concoction has been sitting there for a week and she couldn't warn me in front of the boss who apparently leaves it there to save money and then hands out for free when its bad. nice. and even though i was there for a few hrs (she was hot) was unable to buy me a beer bc her boss legit said he would fire her for a buy back. wow. so shitty place basically sorry hot blond but i wont be back.
