Which is the True Intersection of Sex?

The junction of Allen and East Houston.  For a brief period, it was the quintessential intersection of sex, thanks to a run of scandalous American Apparel ads [Camera 1 and Camera 2]. That distinguished title was forfeited, however, when the ad space disintegrated in September of last year and was never re-activated.  Then Calvin Klein started hogging the spotlight, stealing headlines with its gratuitously sexual billboards above the corner of Lafayette and East Houston.

Like this latest underwear spot which has a sweaty Eva Mendes grabbing at a male model’s protruding junk. Talk about effective in-your-face advertising.  We’ve noticed many routine-driven pedestrians looking upward for an extended glimpse of the steamy scene.  Without fail.  Our question is, will such decadence make its illustrious return to Allen Street? What say you, Dov?
