Activity Begins Anew at 2 Allen Street

Activity is beginning anew at the recently demolished 2 Allen Street (aka 1-3 Orchard Street). A pair of backhoes sits idly in the corner lot, eagerly awaiting orders to mobilize.  Excavation and earth-moving is imminent, as there are now permits filed with the DOB for an “underpinning job.”

The same paperwork also seems to indicate that the new structure will rise seven stories, three more than the former building.  More conclusive details to come…
