Grand Street Steam

With winter now upon us, it’s time to revive our on-again-off-again street steam series.  On a recent Sunday night, two Con Edison workers were conducting some sewer maintenance outside the stalled construction site at 324-326 Grand Street.  Aside from their bulky equipment, the street was rather empty; not many people were on the sidewalks.  The entire scene was the perfect setting for a late-night cityscape in a film.
