Letters to Juliet Filming on Elizabeth Street

Letters to Juliet might have a theatrical release date of May 7, but it’s still filming last-minute scenes on the streets of the Lower East Side.  Today’s shoot is on Elizabeth Street, and will spill over onto Spring.  The feature stars Amanda Seyfried, Vanessa Redgrave, and Gael García Bernal.

An American girl on vacation in Italy finds an unanswered “letter to Juliet” — one of thousands of missives left at the fictional lover’s Verona courtyard, which are typically answered by a the “secretaries of Juliet” — and she goes on a quest to find the lovers referenced in the letter.
