Announcement from Allen & Delancey

Friday afternoon, Eater broke the news that the trendy Allen & Delancey was on the outs.  In its two-year run, the bar has been riddled with all sorts of problems, including chef changes and a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing last summer.  Right now, given that New York State allegedly intervened and shut down business, the consensus seems to be that the closure is final. And a new sign is confirmation enough.

This DIY announcement was affixed to the vestibule over the weekend, and it reads:

We are closed until further notice.  So sorry for the inconvenience

Their website has no mention of the closure, though…
