Coming Soon: Snack Dragon Taco Shack at 164 Orchard
At 164 Orchard Street, the tenant progression is fashion to food. Indeed, four months ago ZACC Fashions shuttered, and now a tiny taco stand is poised to take its place. Yes, it’s official. The popular Snack Dragon Taco Shack – currently at 199 East Third Street – is opening its second Lower East Side location here.
Over the weekend, we chatted with two workers readying the restaurant, and learned that this Snack Dragon outpost is slated to open on June 1. With the advent of another Mexican joint in Hell Square, the competition is now quite fierce. Just around the corner on Stanton Street is San Loco, the Hat, and El Nuevo Amanecer Restaurant.
