Karaoke Boho Unveils Cafe Boho

Not having a liquor license will force any nightlife establishment to diversify.  And quickly. Months before opening at 196 Orchard Street, Karaoke Boho was denied a license for residing in a “resolution area,” and has yet to acquire one.  That pretty much explains the lack of crowds.  In the meantime, however, the bar is trading some open space for a new row of small coffee tables, venturing into cafe territory.  At least in the daytime.

Cafe Boho, as it’s called, features a menu of juices, Italian sodas (8 flavors), teas, frappes, and fro-yo.  Not to mention free WiFi.  These new developments notwithstanding, a dry Karaoke joint will definitely have difficulty surviving in such a cutthroat climate.
