Showdown in Chinatown, Tonight at 6 PM

For the third consecutive year, Steve Nash is bringing his Showdown in Chinatown soccer (nay, futbol) match to the Lower East Side.  The event will be held in Sara D. Roosevelt Park on the Stanton Street field.  This year’s guest athletes include Claudio Reyna, Tony Parker, Simone Motto, Brandon Jennings, and Giuseppe Rossi.  Game time is 6 pm.

Setup crews were deployed early this morning to ready the field and immediate surroundings for play.  The portable bleachers are in place, advertisements hoisted, and Nike kiosk ready to go.  The showdown is a benefit for both the Steve Nash Foundation and the Claudio Reyna Foundation.
