The Little Cupcake Bakeshop Gearing Up at 30 Prince

Cupcakes continue their assault on the city, and now represent a formidable foe to the fro-yo fad. And now Nolita will have its very own “green” cupcakerie.
Back in early June, Eater brought word that the Bay Ridge-based Little Cupcake Bakeshop was opening an outpost at 30 Prince Street (corner of Mott). The sidewalk shed has been in place for awhile, but a reader sent us the above photograph with a message reading, “the Little Cupcake army is gearing up.” Looks like the bakery will start serving sometime this fall.
The Little Cupcake Bakeshop will reportedly offer its pastries (e.g. the Mott Street cupcake) alongside a standalone espresso bar. Moreover, the owners are dedicated to their carbon neutral mission, and are currently pursuing LEED certification.
