Pianos Has New Window Leafing

Hipster hangout Pianos is ditching concert promo posters for fancy window lettering at 158 Ludlow.  Instead, it’s all about the menu. Fresh leafing recently applied to the glass champions its lunch and dinner options.

The side door actually lists the entire menu of rather typical bar fare.  How do you feel about these cosmetic changes?  And the music venue in general?

This was a much cooler space when they sold pianos in the front and had a speakeasy in the back. I feel lucky to have performed/produced in that neat-o backroom with its 3-sided balcony.

The red wine burger is the best value burger in Manhattan. And that’s coming from someone who loved the Black Label burger at Minetta Tavern.

get out of justifying yourself and like it for what it is…regardless of your minetta experience or your band story of when you had dreams. life moves on. this bar is a fine establishment. your lives are also fine. everyone is a child of god. all the best.

    Right on, Steve.
