Olek Hoists Yarn Flower Atop 358 Broome
Big ups to neighborhood favorite Olek for taking her crocheted artwork to precarious levels. Literally. On the heels of her latest collaborative exhibit at the NY Studio Gallery, the city-based artist hoisted a flamboyant new yarn flower Banksy homage to the rooftop of 358 Broome Street. That’s six stories above the pavement! The floral piece covers a longstanding Lansky graffito.

As previously mentioned, her ongoing show at the Christopher Henry Gallery across the street, “Knitting is for Pus****,” has been extended through the summer. Additional savvy street promo.
