Broome Street between Orchard and Ludlow has seen lots of action in the last couple weeks. A new No Long Empty exhibit opened at 250 Broome Street, a new Chinese bodega opened across the street, and the forthcoming HBO show Girls filmed here. Today at 1 pm, the narrow space will transform into a quasi-runway event called Fashion Forward Fashion Show, which is sponsored by the Lower East Side Business Improvement District.

What: Fashion Forward Fashion Show, being held outdoors on the street, will include current trends for both men’s and women’s clothing, from casual to formal looks. Limited seating will be available. Attendees will be able to move around the runway areas on the street to see designs close up. Featured boutiques include Adrienne’s Bridal, Any Old Iron, James Coviello, Skunkfunk, Staple Design, TG170, by Robert James, Earnest Sewn, Volang, Lois Eastlund, PPF, Annabelle and others.
Who: The Lower East Side Business Improvement District will feature designs from Lower East Side boutiques, including Lower East Side designers James Coviello and Robert James. The fashion show is free and open to the public.
