Blue Stockings at 172 Allen Has Reopened

Three weeks of closed-door housecleaning (nay, sprucing-up) at Bluestockings has concluded.  Brown paper was recently removed from the windows and the retail space rearranged.  Now it’s back to the grind here at 172 Allen Street. The independent radical bookstore, on the block since 1999, reopened its doors earlier this week, just a tad later than initially projected.

When we walked past last night, employees were still rushing to put everything in order.
