Coming Soon: Steven Harvey Fine Arts Gallery at 208 Forsyth

The other (dormant) half of Half Gallery at 208 Forsyth Street will itself become a gallery showroom in due course.  Saturday afternoon, Artnet casually dropped a Tweet that “Steven Harvey Fine Arts Gallery is opening next to Half Gallery on the Lower East Side.”  That would explain the recent arrival of brown paper in the storefront windows.

The four-year-old Steven Harvey operation is currently headquartered on the Upper East Side, at 73rd between Madison and Fifth Avenues.  The jury is still out with regard to actual opening date, as there’s no mention of this new downtown location on the official website.
