Posse Paints Murals at Ludlow Timeshare Backyard
The lightning rod that is the Timeshare Backyard saw a flurry of spray-painting last week. Indeed, a posse of artists from the Boroughs recolored the bookending facades of this long-vacant Lower East Side lot. And for just a moment, it’s definitely a sight to behold. That is, if you can get past the noise nuisance.
According to Brooklyn Street Art, the team was invited to 145 Ludlow Street to help spice up the space. Give the suburban concept a touch of the true urban experience. The artists who tagged the walls were Creepy, Gaia, Nanook and Yok. Of course, Gaia was the scrawler behind the current Rag & Bone mural.
We nabbed some shots over the weekend, but to be honest, Boogie reader Michael Pearce truly captured the spirit of the artwork. As it happened. All photos are his except the last. Check out his Flickr page here.
