Ha’chi Restaurant at 185 Orchard is Closed

Ha’chi Restaurant; more like hasta la vista. Not too long ago, 2011 crowned its latest Lower East Side quickie closure at 185 Orchard Street (backside of the Thompson LES). The dusty emerald green curtains have been drawn, shielding from public view the veritable ghost town this space has since become. Lights are off and tables completely empty. Moreover, the exterior no longer boasts a facade flag with the proper logo. We put in numerous calls to the asian fusion bistro, all of which met with old lady operator.

Ha’chi opened in mid-June at 185 Orchard, but after the initial rush died down, so too did the restaurant. Quickie closure logged – less than five months on the scene.
