“Light Years” Filming on Ludlow Today

Ludlow is a busy street today thanks to both roadway repaving efforts and a simultaneous film shoot.  Expect to see production crews working all day between Rivington and Stanton Street to film scenes for a small project called Light Years.

Light Years is written and directed by Maggie Kiley (Some Boys Don’t Leave), and stars Jessica Szohr and and Chris Lowell. Its seemingly well-worn plotline concerns a “boy who, after the girl he worked so hard to get breaks up with him, goes on a journey to get her back and discovers on the way what he’s really been searching for.” Judging by this synopsis, perhaps the scene involves one of the neighboring music venues…
