FAILE Totem at Bowery Graffiti Wall Removed
While the epic FAILE collage on the Bowery graffiti wall sits relatively pristine and bereft of random tags, the accompanying totem recently met a different fate. The spinning artwork, shamelessly bolted to the sidewalk outside 294 Bowery for roughly a month, was decapitated sometime around the New Year. We are now left with little more than a stump at this point.
It’s unclear whether the Native American-esque totem will make a comeback.
FAILE is a Brooklyn-based art duo. Their last high-profile venture on the Lower East Side was with fellow graf-artist Baile in the temporary Deluxx Fluxx arcade on Allen Street.
