Subway Franchise Opens at 153 Essex Street
It looks precisely as you imagined it would. No surprises. Just like every other friggin’ Subway franchise that’s infected the Lower East Side of late. Sans Sub Man, of course.

That new Subway restaurant location at 153 Essex Street started serving over the weekend, and thus far, we haven’t seen too many people pass through the doors. Has the “fresh” fast food company reached the saturation point here in the neighborhood, or should we expect more? We’ll take the over on that bet.
