Three New Hanksy Pieces Across the Lower East Side
Just over a month after a successful show at the Krause Gallery, humorous street artist Hanksy unveiled three new pop-culture mashups across the Lower East Side this weekend. It appears the artist is forsaking his namesake theme (Tom Hanks/Banksy) in favor of something more broad ranged.

First up, Hanksy trained his focus on combining comedian/JELLO spokesman Bill Cosby with Cameron Crowe’s 1996 film Jerry Maguire. “You had me at JELLO” is residing on Orchard Street, steps south of Canal. Hilarious.

Drive star Ryan Gosling in a McDonald’s drive thru window located near the corner of Ludlow and Stanton.

And last, but not least, Ted Danson superimposed onto Fred Astaire – Ted Dancin’. Take a closer look at the buckle on his shoe, and you may notice the double-B logo. Yup. Many thanks to Hanksy for the Bowery Boogie shout-out!
