Louie C.K. Filming “Louie” on Essex Street Today

Prolific comic Louis C.K. is back behind the camera for the third season of his acclaimed FX series, Louie. This show is kickass because the funnyman takes the complete DIY approach – he is not only writer, producer, and director of each episode, but also the editor (using Final Cut Pro). As such, his production crews at any given time are only a few members deep. Talk about leaving no trace.

We last saw Louis C.K. on the Lower East Side a year ago when he was filming scenes at Fontana’s and beside the Chinese markets on Grand Street. Now he’s back.  He’ll be further east on Essex later today, occupying the real estate between Rivington and East Houston.
