Racist Wall Decor at Rice to Riches on Spring?

A Boogie reader calls our attention to a questionably racist wall adornment inside Rice to Riches at 37 Spring Street. PAPERMAG sheds light on the six-month-old decor, which features caricatures of various ethnic groups spouting stereotypical sayings.

For instance – a Japanese woman saying “Me Love You Long Time,” an African dude saying “Click Click Click,” and an Orthodox Jew saying “Oy Vey.”

But there reportedly hasn’t been much outcry against the establishment regarding the decor. PAPERMAG contacted the store directly and learned that management has yet to receive any complaints. Plus, there isn’t much about it online, except for a random Tumblr.  What’s your opinion on the matter?

Its not racist because he hates all people equally so its okay =)

“Me love you long time,” and “Click, click, click,” can certainly be filed under “negative stereotyping.” The Japanese/Asian one being the most offensive and Linexcusable.
