1 World Trade Center Gets Time-Lapse Treatment [Video]

Six years and over 100 floors later, the Freedom Tower 1 World Trade Center skyscraper is firmly part of the New York City skyline. The folks at AnimalNY unearthed this fantastic time-lapse video showing work at the Ground Zero construction site.

Upon completion, 1 WTC will reach the symbolic apex of 1,776 feet, placing it third on the list of tallest buildings in the world, and number one in the Western Hemisphere. Plans for the tower were officially approved on April 26, 2006. In other 1 WTC trivia – it’s the most expensive single building in the world at a cost of $3.8 billion.
