Ha’chi Restaurant Reopens at 185 Orchard Street
This grand opening on Orchard Street is anything but.
Ha’chi Restaurant and Lounge first stepped up to the plate in June 2011 at 185 Orchard Street, the commercial unit in the base of the Thompson LES. A few months after opening, the place struck out, and deposed all traces of its identity from the storefront (i.e. flag). This abbreviated initial run was probably related to the lack of wine and beer license from the SLA.

That all changed in January when Community Board 3 approved their application; the license is stamped active as of February 7, 2012. Now Ha’chi is back from the dead and ready to give the Lower East Side another shot.
