Hester Street Fair Returns to the Lower East Side Tomorrow

Posted on: April 27th, 2012 at 6:08 am by

Like it or not, the Hester Street Fair is a force to be reckoned with, having established a benchmark for neighborhood festivals. Taking cues from similar events across the river in Brooklyn, the weekly event caters almost exclusively to the foodie/artisanal set out there. And it’s wildly successful, attracting popular names in both the local restaurant and fashion industries. Get ready for another summer in Seward Park.

Tomorrow morning, Suchin Pak and company are returning to Seward Park for the third year running. The open-air market is every Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm through October 27.

With Cafe Bambi Dead in the Water, New ‘Elevated Gastropub’ Concept Pitched for 107 Eldridge Street

It appears that the ever-delayed Cafe Bambi concept is on ice. Jack Abramcyk (kid brother of nightlife impresario Matt) had planned a bilevel nightspot at 107 Eldridge Street despite an outpouring of opposition. Funny, considering the unopened concept even found its way onto Grub St’s top 20 openings of 2014. Until the end of last […]
