Landbrot Lower East Side Delayed Until April 24
It was initially intended to be a coordinated launch. German bakery import Landbrot would simultaneously launch two sister spots in downtown Gotham on April 1. They were surely a-foolin’, as only the Greenwich Village outpost opened.

The Lower East Side satellite at 185 Orchard Street remains the laggard in this race, its interior perpetually obscured by requisite window paper. Following the Facebook page these last months, it became obvious that this locale was not priority one.

Nevertheless, we can now report that an opening date has been set. A computer printout taped to the door confirms that this Landbrot will open on April 24.
