Night Lighting on Hester Street Parks HQ Building
The Sohotel ain’t the only one in the neighborhood with a flair for colorful night lights. Its nocturnal display of various LED hues (purple-ish blue) has been a fixture at the corner of Bowery and Broome for over two years already. Basically, since the Lower East Side inn renovated the joint.

Now, just around the corner, the district headquarters building in Sara D. Roosevelt Park is boasting some lighting of its own. Last week, color-changing web patterns appeared on the brick facade of the decades-old Hester Street structure, activated at all hours of the day. Looks dope at night.

We asked one of the park employees the other day, and he had no idea who put them up or why.
