The Pink Jellyfish of the Lower East Side
Despite our hatred of jellyfish, we can definitely get behind this.
Indeed, some interesting, albeit subtle street art has been swimming through the streets of the Lower East Side recently. That of the ever-mysterious pink jellyfish. It seems these dripping sea creatures are being stamped on local building facades in greater numbers, usually in doorways and near dumpsters.
Said pink jellyfish are popping up in multiples – we’ve mostly seen twos and threes so far. Yet GammaBlog spotted the motherlode floating under surveillance up at Second Avenue and 13th Street.
The artist behind this streetwork is still a mystery. Anyone know?
Pink jelly, meet Green Jelly…
