John Mayer’s “Born and Raised” Pop-Up at Reed Space on Orchard

Yesterday evening, Orchard Street welcomed the umbrella-toting masses for a special event. John Mayer is celebrating the release of his fifth studio record, Born and Raised, with a new pop-up endeavor inside Reed Space. Last night was the cocktail kick-off with the artist.

Fans began queuing outside 151 Orchard shortly after noon, and the line snaked northward to the corner of Stanton Street. Lucky for these folks, the skeletal framework of scaffolding at 163 Orchard kept the rain at bay. The Korilla BBQ truck catered the event.

The “Born and Raised” pop-up shop features photography exhibited by Gari Lamar Askew II, exclusive merchandise, and co-branded projects with Staple Design. Moleskine Notebooks, Reigning Champ, Barrett Alley, Incase and The North Face are also for sale.
