Stanton Grocery Bodega to Reopen

The roll-down security gates were shuttered for the last time at 86 Stanton Street about a year ago. Or so we thought. Stanton Grocery is on the rebound. Return of the bodega (sounds like a stoner movie).

Saturday afternoon, as the drunken masses were busy woo-hoo-ing at the nearby Epstein’s, a pair of contractors were busy tidying the interior of this narrow hole-in-the-wall store. We hear that ownership remains the same as before, and that the footprint was renovated and redesigned during this hiatus period. No conclusive word on opening date.
