Scribes in the local blogosphere know all too well about mainstream media filching stories. It’s happened to us on numerous occasions. Just remember that little brother is getting stronger, and will keep big brother in check.

Let’s take the example of a Missouri man named Duane Lester who noticed that the local Oregon Times Newspaper completely plagiarized his blog post without attribution. What did he do? Waltzed down to the office and confronted the managing editor of the paper. Dude walked outta there with $500 in his pocket.

The resultant video of his escapades went viral. Well, sorta.
