Allen Street Against Genetically Modified Foods

The recently reconfigured plywood tunnel of the long-stalled Allen Street Hotel now carries some political wallpaper of sorts. Sometime within the last week or so, health-conscious bills were rolled onto the overly vandalized boards, which haven’t otherwise seen much action of late.

An entity called Ugly Time (a play on Time Magazine) posted the multi-pronged street campaign, basically a message of opposition against the use of genetically modified products. Each paster quotes data from various sources.

As we reported back in April, the embattled hotel project at 139 Orchard Street was placed on the chopping block via Massey Knakal for a slick $28 million. No sale just yet…
