Centre-fuge Art Project Joining Forces with Tuck Shop for Fundraiser

Posted on: June 5th, 2012 by

On the eve of its fourth cycle, the Centre-fuge art project is seeking monetary support from the community. The public art sensation on East First, a year-long initiative to beautify an otherwise drab mid-block DOT trailer, needs to fill its coffers to help keep the event going. So co-founders Pebbles Russell and Jonathan Neville are taking to the street for a fundraiser next weekend.

The Centre-fuge fundraiser is scheduled for Sunday evening (June 10), and in conjunction with the Tuck Shop outpost across the way. There will be “art, food, and drink.”

But there’s also an ulterior motive. Indeed, the event simultaneously celebrates the arrival of a new mural at 68 East First Street. Cycle 2 artist Ben Angotti was cherry-picked to paint for the meat-pie purveyor.
